ELN owner Douglas Morrison has a strong
commitment to serving his community, as shown in the following examples:
• MS Bike Tours. Doug has raised thousands of dollars
each year for the MS Society by participating in charity bicycle rides in
both Oregon & Washington. Doug rides the 175 mile routes over two days
with Team Copaxone and its inspirational captain, Maureen Manley.

• Youth Softball Coach--Bellevue East Little League. Over the
last three years,
Douglas has served as a manager or coach for his
daughter’s team.
• Pro Bono Representation/CASA Program. Represented a
Court Appointed Special Advocate (“CASA”) in Dependency proceedings in King
County Juvenile Court. A CASA is a guardian ad litem appointed by the
Court to represent the interests of children who come before the court.
These are typically children who have been abused or abandoned by their
parents, and are wards of the state.
• YMCA Parent-Child Program. Participated in the YMCA
Parent-Child program with his son and daughter. This is a richly rewarding
program that provides a great service to the community. Doug served as
a group leader in both Y-Guides (boys) and Y-Princesses (girls), helping to
organize monthly meetings and numerous activities for a small group of
fathers and their children.
• Youth Baseball Coach--Bellevue East Little League.
Douglas was an assistant baseball coach for his son's little league baseball
teams from 1998 to 2005, including serving as an assistant coach for the
"Majors" All-Stars team in 2005.
• Youth Soccer Coach--Lake Hills Soccer Club. Douglas
served as head coach for his son’s recreational soccer team for the 1999
through 2002 seasons. In 2002, the Boys U10 Hurricanes finished 5-2-2
and in second place in their Division.
• Tam O’Shanter Golf and Country Club. Douglas has
served the neighborhood in which he lives (a homeowner’s association) in
several important ways. As a member and chair of the Architectural
Control Committee for five years, he served as community liaison for
enforcement of the covenants, conditions and restrictions (“CCRs”). He
also served on the Board of Directors for a three-year term. Of note
is the leadership that Douglas provided in successfully organizing revisions
to the CCRs, an effort that required the notarized signature of 75% of the
legal owners of homes in the community.
• Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Puget Sound. Participated
in the Big Brother program, which pairs adult mentors with kids in need of
healthy role models. Because of the rich rewards gained by this
participation, we would like to acknowledge the benefits to the community
provided by this program and encourage others to participate. For more
